About the event

The Topic The mounting crisis and current policies present unprecedented risks for immigrants in the US. Many fleeing persecution, violence, and hardship now face immense legal and social challenges. Yet, they have the right to fair and just treatment under American law and protections affirmed by the US Constitution and the UN Declaration of Human Rights, which the US and 192 other nations have endorsed. Upholding these rights is vital to justice and the nation’s commitment to human dignity.

The Panel

The Forum’s panel of experts, experienced professionals and some migrants, will explore the UN and US context of rights and law. They will examine current challenges and threats, as well as discuss resources and actionable measures to defend, protect, and advance the rights and interests of migrants and refugees.
